How this is calculated
- BOD removal = (1 − outlet ÷ inlet) × 100 = (1 − 8 ÷ 300) × 100 = 97.3 %.
- Specific energy = power ÷ flow = 160 ÷ 200 = 0.80 kWh/m³ (Typical).
- Inlet load = flow × inlet BOD ÷ 1000 = 60 kg/day; outlet load = 1.6 kg/day.
- Compliance is met when outlet BOD ≤ 10 mg/L and residual chlorine ≥ 0.3 mg/L — currently met.
