Questions, answered

How does DesignAI generate design concepts?

DesignAI uses advanced AI models to understand your style preferences (from style swipe), room dimensions (from uploaded photos), lifestyle needs (from the quiz), and budget constraints. It then generates personalized concepts with materials, colors, and furniture recommendations tailored to your city's market.

How much does it cost?

Your first project is completely free — with any number of rooms, styles, and AI concepts. Studio Matrx is a not-for-profit platform built as a tribute to Amogh N P. Voluntary contributions from Supporters and Patrons help cover server and AI costs, and unlock additional projects.

Which cities do you cover?

We cover 50+ cities across India with city-specific material pricing and vendor recommendations. Major metros like Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Pune have the most detailed coverage.

Can I share the designs with my contractor?

Absolutely! Every design comes with an export-ready PDF that includes color codes, material specifications, furniture dimensions, and a Bill of Quantities. Contractors love it because it eliminates back-and-forth.

How accurate are the budget estimates?

Our estimates are informed by market data from vendors across India and are intended as a planning guide. Actual costs vary based on location, vendor, and project scope. The Bill of Quantities gives you an item-by-item breakdown to discuss with your contractor or designer.

Do I need any design experience?

Not at all! DesignAI is built for homeowners with zero design experience. Just answer a few questions, swipe through some images, and the AI generates initial concepts to get you started. When you're ready, share your style profile with a designer for a head start on the brief.
