What makes up the annual cost
The AMC splits into a capacity-based variable component and a fixed visit charge:
On a 100 KLD plant the variable service works out to Rs 80,000 a year, while scheduled visits add Rs 48,000.
A larger plant spreads the fixed charge over more capacity, so the per-KLD cost falls as the STP scales up — worth comparing before you lock a contract.
How this is calculated
- Variable = capacity × rate = 100 KLD × Rs 800 = Rs 80,000/yr.
- Annual fixed = fixed visit charge × 12 = Rs 4,000 × 12 = Rs 48,000/yr.
- Annual AMC = variable + annual fixed = Rs 1,28,000/yr.
- Monthly AMC = annual AMC ÷ 12 = Rs 10,667/month; per-KLD = annual AMC ÷ capacity = Rs 1,280/KLD/yr.
