Sewage vs suggested capacity

Your home makes ≈0.6 KLD of sewage a day; a plant is sized just above that.

A Packaged MBR/MBBR plant sized at 1 KLD comfortably handles the daily flow with headroom for peak hours.

Treated water can be reused for flushing and gardens, cutting freshwater purchase.

How this works

  • Municipal sewer available → connect to the sewer; no on-site plant is needed.
  • Independent house on a large rural plot with no reuse → a septic tank + soak pit is usually enough.
  • Otherwise → a packaged STP. A luxury villa (or any home wanting strong reuse) gets Packaged MBR/MBBR for polished, reusable water; others get Packaged MBBR / Extended Aeration.
  • Suggested capacity = ⌈ residents × 135 LPCD × 80% return ÷ 1000 ⌉, minimum 1 KLD = 1 KLD.
