A few honest calls. Solid wood is the most repairable and recyclable choice but only sustainable if the source is responsible — origin beats species. How to spot greenwashing. A trustworthy claim (a) names the specific scheme and certifier, (b) carries a licence or certificate number, (c) states exactly what is certified — the whole product, just the board, just the finish — and (d) can be checked on the issuer's website.
