CCTV Camera Overlap Calculator
Adjacent cameras should overlap a little so a person can never walk through an unseen strip between them. Enter the coverage width each camera sees and the centre-to-centre spacing to get the overlap in metres and percent, a blind-gap warning, and the spacing you need for a target overlap. Planning figures; runs in your browser.
Planning estimate only — this assumes both cameras face the same line and cover the same width. Corners, mounting height and lens differences change the real picture. Confirm the actual overlap in the live views on site, and where a camera can see a neighbour or public area keep it within the DPDP Act 2023.
