1. It needs mobile signal at the panel

The alarm can only call if it has bars where it is mounted. Panels often sit in a utility cupboard, a basement, or a thick-walled corner, exactly the spots where coverage is weakest. GSM is not police response

Keeping it secure and private

A GSM panel is a networked device, and a modern one that also touches an app or cloud deserves the same care as any connected security gear.
