Concrete Mix Ratio Calculator

See the full nominal mix breakdown for a concrete grade. Pick the grade and a volume to get the cement : sand : aggregate ratio with the cement bags, sand, aggregate and indicative water.

Nominal mixes suit small non-critical work; higher grades need a design mix.

M20 mix — 1:1.5:3 (cement:sand:aggregate)

Cement for 1 m3 of M20 concrete.

Materials use a 1.54 dry-volume factor; water is indicative at a ~0.5 water-cement ratio. Actual water depends on aggregate moisture, admixtures and workability.

Indicative only. Nominal mixes are a rule of thumb for small, non-critical work. Structural concrete (M25 and above, and all RCC) needs a design mix with the water-cement ratio, admixtures and reinforcement set by a licensed structural engineer to IS 456 / IS 10262 — this tool is for ordering materials, not designing your structure.
