Jaali Generator

Design a parametric jaali or perforated screen — pick a pattern, dial in the openness, module and panel size, read the open-area balance of daylight and privacy, and download a print-ready SVG for fabrication. It all runs live in your browser.

Open area drives both daylight and privacy: a tighter screen (lower openness) filters harsh sun and shields the interior; a more open screen lets in light and air. The download is a clean vector — hand it to a CNC, laser or waterjet fabricator.

How it works

Pattern & module

Choose a motif — square, circular, diamond, hexagon, eight-point star, quatrefoil, slats or an arched mashrabiya — then set the module (the size of one repeating unit) and the panel dimensions. The preview tiles it exactly.

Open area = daylight + privacy

The open-area percentage is measured from the actual geometry. A tighter screen filters harsh sun and shields the interior; a more open one lets in light and air. Use it to tune the balance for the room and orientation.

Fabrication-ready

Download a clean, scalable SVG at your real panel size — hand it straight to a CNC router, laser or waterjet cutter, or drop it into your CAD drawing set.
