Guard posts & rota

Guardhouse Placement Tool

Static posts sit at each manned entry; roving posts cover the boundary at a patrol range. Enter your entries, perimeter and patrol coverage to size the posts, the guardhouses (cabins) and the total guards a 24×7 rota really needs once shifts, weekly offs and leave are counted. Planning figures; runs in your browser.

Roving posts
4 posts × 3 shifts × a 1.4 relief factor. A single 24×7 post needs 4+ guards once weekly offs and leave are counted — never roster three and burn them out. One guardhouse (cabin) per manned entry; roving guards use it too.

Indicative planning estimate only — guards must be engaged through a licensed PSARA agency, and the real headcount depends on your site, risk and duty roster. The guardhouse needs clear sightlines to the gate & approach, communication (intercom/phone), lighting, a visitor register and basic welfare (toilet, shelter, water); guards watch the cameras too. Verify with your PSARA agency and a site walk-through.
