Green bars sit under your available-area line and fit; grey bars need a bigger shaft. Footprint is the deciding factor — a bigger car also needs deeper pit and headroom, which vary by drive type.

Shaft dimensions are clear internal sizes. Always leave finishing tolerance and confirm pit and headroom for the Traction (Gearless MRL) drive on site.

Tight on space? A shaftless option

Pneumatic vacuum (PVE)

Air-pressure cabin. No pit, no shaft, no machine room — easiest retrofit. Panoramic glass; 2-3 persons. It is self-supporting and needs no shaft, pit or machine room — the cylinder is the structure — so it slots into a footprint a masonry shaft cannot.

Compact MRL traction

A gearless machine-room-less traction lift removes the separate machine room and runs in a slim hoistway — a good pick when you want a few more persons than the very smallest shaft allows.

All dimensions are indicative June 2026 planning figures. Final clear sizes, pit and headroom must come from the vendor's approved GA drawing.
