This is a guidance tool, not a substitute for a qualified fitter or site engineer. Tolerances are indicative India 2026 — even 2–4mm margins, frame plumb ±1.5–2mm, one-hand operation, latches first time. Fire-rated sets must follow the certified set and NBC / IS 3614: leaf gaps ≤3mm, intumescent + smoke seals, 3+ fire-rated hinges, self-closing and "fire door keep shut" signage. Levers should sit ~900–1050mm (RPwD accessible range 800–1100mm). Snags are commonly rectified within a 6–12 month defect liability period; any remedial materials carry 18% GST. Confirm acceptance with your carpenter / fitter on site.
