- Warranty length is whatever you enter in months, counted from the purchase / handover date. Expiry is purchase date + warranty months (day clamped to the month end).
- “Expiring soon” means cover lapses within 2 months of your reference date. The reference date is whatever you pick above — nothing is read from your device clock.
- In India the builder/contractor defect-liability period (DLP) is commonly 6–12 months; manufacturer warranties on smart locks, closers and ironmongery vary (often 12–36 months). Track each as a separate item.
