What it's made of
- solid teak gopuram top
- hand-carved pillars
- brass bell hangings
- lower samagri cabinet
This floor-standing teak temple carries a stepped gopuram crown and hand-carved pillars, recreating a South Indian shrine in a corner of the home. The raised platform sits the idol at seated-prayer height while a lower cabinet stores samagri, lamps and festival items behind doors. It suits villas and larger 3BHK flats with a dedicated prayer corner and joint families who gather for aarti. Stand it in the north-east of the room with the deity facing east, keep a heat-safe surface for the kuthuvilakku lamp, and ensure cross-ventilation so the daily incense and camphor smoke clears. You can switch finishes to compare looks before deciding.
