A sustainable eco house on a 40x60 Kochi plot, built from exposed laterite blocks with a cost-and-carbon-saving filler-slab roof in the Laurie Baker tradition. Kerala's intense heat and humidity are tamed by the breathing laterite walls, a central ventilation court and wide wooden mullion screens. The exposed laterite weathers gracefully through the heavy monsoon. A warm beige-and-laterite palette with honey-wood lets the natural materials carry the elevation. You can switch finishes to compare looks before deciding.
