What it's made of
  • sloped Mangalore-tile roof
  • wooden truss eaves
  • laterite-look plinth
  • carved wooden front door

A traditional Kerala home on a 40x60 Thrissur plot, crowned with a steep Mangalore-tiled sloped roof and deep wooden-truss eaves that shed the region's torrential monsoon. The nalukettu spirit shows in the timber-framed verandah and a carved wooden front door set to the Vastu-favoured direction. A laterite-look plinth lifts the structure above monsoon damp. Earthy terracotta render with ivory trim and dark teak completes the warm, rooted Kerala look. You can switch finishes to compare looks before deciding.
