Long, narrow bathrooms are common where a flat is carved from an older layout, and the galley approach turns that awkward proportion into a strength. Fixtures line up along one wall, ending in a walk-in shower behind a single glass screen, so the eye is drawn down the room rather than cramped across it. It suits renovated apartments and older builder flats with a slim plan. Place the shower at the far end so wet zones stay away from the door, run a linear drain under the screen, and choose matte tiles to cut glare in a tight corridor. A light Scandinavian palette keeps the long room feeling open. You can switch palettes to compare the same bathroom in five colour schemes.
